With extensive experience in strategic corporate program design and management, Sharon Kemerer's skill set includes consulting, business development, project management and training in a wide variety of industries. At Baxter International, Sharon was the global director for the safety and occupational health programs.  Baxter is a Fortune 500 healthcare manufacturing company that has approximately 48,000 employees working in over 100 countries.

Created and managed a global health and productivity program, owned at the local level, that resulted in a 58% decrease in known hypertension and a 24% decrease in future risk of diabetes among workers

More About Sharon

Sharon joined Baxter's Corporate EHS group in June 2001. Prior to that she was the Executive Director of the American Board for Occupational Health Nurses- ABOHN (the professional certifying body for OHNs in the US). Before managing ABOHN, Sharon worked for consulting firms, providing occupational health and safety services to a variety of large corporations and municipalities. Her start in occupational health came in 1984, when she coordinated the occupational health nursing and outreach programs for a Chicago community hospital, working with over 50 companies including the City of Chicago.

Sharon retired from her role at Baxter in mid-2018 and is now consulting and leading the ANSI/ASSP committee to develop a national standard for Total Worker Health ®.
